PRODUCT INFORMATION

Details, specifications & applications

Clear 42 × 60 inch single-pane window glass, fabricated for exact-size replacement and project work. This listing is for one unframed clear annealed glass sheet with nominal finished dimensions of 42 inches wide × 60 inches high. Choose the available thickness that fits your application, or request a smaller custom finished size before fabrication.

Product specifications

  • Finished size: 42 in W × 60 in H (nominal)
  • Available thicknesses: 3/16 in (approx. 5 mm)
  • Glass type: clear annealed single-pane flat glass
  • Standard edge: seamed for safer handling; the edge is not a decorative polished finish
  • Format: Oversize Review Required
  • Included: one glass pane only; frame, sash, glazing compound, clips, hardware, installation, and disposal are not included

Recommended uses

This clear glass panel is commonly considered for larger window-sash replacements, interior architectural glazing, display panels, and fully supported furniture or tabletop protection where annealed glass is permitted. The buyer or installer is responsible for confirming that the selected thickness, glass type, support, and edge treatment are suitable for the project.

  • large residential or commercial fixed openings after professional measurement
  • tall or wide window-sash replacement where annealed glass is code-compliant
  • interior showroom, office, and retail display glazing
  • custom architectural panels with verified support, handling, and delivery plans

How to select thickness

  • 1/16 in (about 1.5 mm): lightweight applications such as compatible small frames and protected inserts.
  • 1/8 in (about 3 mm): a common choice for many cabinet inserts, small panes, frames, and fully supported interior projects.
  • 3/16 in (about 5 mm): added rigidity for larger panes or projects that require a heavier glass sheet.

Not every thickness is offered at every size. Select only from the variants shown on this product page. Thickness guidance is general information, not an engineering specification.

Measure before ordering

  1. Remove or safely access the existing pane only if you are qualified to do so.
  2. Enter the required finished glass size, not the rough opening, sash exterior, or frame size.
  3. Measure width and height in more than one location and confirm the allowance required by your sash, frame, stops, and glazing method.
  4. If the opening is out of square or the measurement is uncertain, request professional measurement before placing the order.

Custom fabrication options

The 42 × 60 inch sheet can be reduced to a smaller rectangular finished size before fabrication. Available quoted options include:

  • Edges: standard seamed, flat polished, pencil polished, or beveled where feasible
  • Corners: square, clipped, or radius corners
  • Fabrication: drilled holes, notches, cutouts, and approved custom shapes
  • Glass upgrades: tempering, lamination, tint, or another specialty glass type

Provide a dimensioned sketch showing finished width, height, edge finish, hole diameter, hole-center locations, notches, and corner radii. Feasibility and price are confirmed before production. All cutting, drilling, and edgework must be completed before tempering; finished tempered glass cannot be cut or drilled afterward.

Large-panel review

Before fabrication, we will confirm support, handling, intended use, glass type, and fulfillment. Pickup, delivery, or shipping eligibility depends on size and destination.

Handling, cleaning, and installation preparation

Keep the pane upright, evenly supported, and protected at every edge and corner. Use appropriate eye, hand, and body protection plus professional handling equipment for larger panels. Do not install damaged or incorrectly sized glass. Clean with a soft cloth and non-abrasive glass cleaner. Glazing tape, blocks, sealants, stops, putty, and fasteners must be compatible with the frame and are sold separately.

Safety and code notice

Standard annealed glass is not safety glazing. Do not use this annealed product in doors, shower or tub enclosures, guards, railings, hazardous locations, or any opening that requires tempered or laminated safety glass. Applicable building codes, wind loads, human-impact requirements, support conditions, and installation details vary. Final selection and installation should be confirmed by a qualified glazing professional.

Order confirmation

Because cut glass is made to order, review the selected size and thickness carefully. Golden Window & Doors may contact you to confirm specifications, handling, lead time, and fulfillment before fabrication. For a non-standard size or safety-glass application, request a custom quote instead of ordering annealed glass by assumption.

Before checkout

  • Confirm that 42 in × 60 in is the required finished glass size.
  • Select the correct thickness from the available variants shown above.
  • Confirm that annealed glass is allowed and contact us if the opening is irregular or code-regulated.
